Audio-CD ripping services
There are commercial services
to 'rip' audio from commercial CDs to MP3 and other formats on DVDs, so that
they can be transferred to computers and portable audio devices. Six, in the
USA, are listed at
Designtechnica. Whole collections can be transferred for about US$1/CD.

audio player and an Internet connection, to broadcast streaming audio. It includes links
to audio servers.

music notation software: 'Sibelius' v 2 @ £595, 'Sibelius Teaching Tools' @
£57.57, 'PhotoScore Professional' program for scanning printed music @
£199 and 'PhotoScore MIDI' program for documenting output from MIDI
sequencers such as 'Logic', 'Cubase' and 'Cakewalk'. @ £149. SibeliusMusic,
